Country Pub Dining in Northamptonshire

Seasonal food, well kept ales and a warm welcome at The Thornhill Arms in Rushton, near Kettering.

Thornhill Arms Rushton Northamtonshire

Tucked away in the village of Rushton, The Thornhill Arms is a traditional country pub with a kitchen that takes its food seriously. We cook with the seasons, source locally where we can, and serve it all in relaxed, unhurried surroundings.

Whether you’re after a quiet lunch, a long dinner with friends or a pint and a bite after a walk, country pub dining here is all about good food without the fuss. Take a look at our menus to see what’s cooking.

Seafood linguine with mussels

Our seasonal menu brings together pub classics and dishes that change as the year turns, from hearty winter plates to lighter summer cooking. On Sundays, our Sunday roast is one of the most popular in the area, so it’s worth booking ahead.

Pair your meal with a drink to suit, whether that’s a pint of local ale, a glass of red by the fire or something from behind the bar.

Rushton sits in some of the prettiest countryside in North Northamptonshire, making The Thornhill Arms a natural stop for walkers, cyclists and anyone who fancies a drive out of town. Come in from the cold and settle by the fire, or find a table in the garden and make an afternoon of it.

It’s the kind of country pub where there’s no rush to leave. Stay for pudding, order another round and enjoy the easy pace of village life.
