At The Thornhill Arms, our team looks after everyone who comes through the door, from regulars propping up the bar to families in for Sunday lunch, and we’re always keen to hear from people who care about food, drink and hospitality as much as we do.
Whether you’re an experienced chef, new to bar work or looking for part-time hours around study or family, we have pub jobs in the kitchen and front of house. Who We’re Looking For
Experience helps, but attitude matters more. We’re looking for people who are reliable, friendly and happy to muck in when the pub is busy. If you enjoy looking after people and take pride in doing things properly, we can teach you the rest.
Rushton is a village, so your own transport makes getting here much easier, especially for late finishes.

Careers Questions
Do I need experience to work at The Thornhill Arms?
Not for every role. Chef positions need kitchen experience, but for kitchen porter, bar and waiting roles we’re happy to train the right person.
Do you offer part-time jobs?
Yes. We have part-time and weekend shifts, which suit students and anyone fitting work around other commitments. Let us know your availability when you apply.
Can I apply if I’m under 18?
No. All of our roles are for those aged 18 and over, for licensing and safety reasons.
